I wrote my Bachelor’s Thesis on generalizing a minimal property of Chebyshev polynomials on a compact interval to two disjoint intervals using elliptic functions. The thesis was inspired by the work of N.I. Akhiezer, a Soviet Mathematician who worked in function theory. You can download my thesis: here.
